ONE OF THE FIRST AUGMENTED REALITY BLOCKCHAIN MOBILE GAMES TO LAUNCH AT COMIC CON AFRICA

Cape Town, 12 July 2018 - Augmentors, one of the first augmented reality blockchain mobile games, will be soft-launching in South Africa at Comic Con Africa. With the Alpha on the 1st of August 2018, Augmentors is set to take the mobile gaming world by storm (If you haven’t yet, you can sign up to join the Alpha here).

Augmentors is a multiplayer mobile battle game that puts you in control of epic creatures that you can truly own because they’re built on the blockchain. This means that players can build and collect an army of powerful and truly rare creatures that they have real ownership of, meaning once you’ve trained your asset through battles, you can sell and trade them as you wish. Players can create their battle decks strategically before each battle, so that they can train their creature to specialise in a particular skill if they wish (such as defence or attack).

“The very first Comic Con Africa is the perfect place to soft-launch one of the first augmented reality blockchain mobile games, and we’re excited to share all of our hard work with the Augmentors community that have been patiently waiting for the release”, says Gert Kruger, CEO of Augmentors.

For three full days, the team behind the Augmentors Game will be at Comic Con Africa, transporting visitors to a new realm of mobile gaming. Visitors will be able to download the game straight from the exhibition booth, as well as from the respective app stores. There will be ongoing battle competitions for visitors, with some epic Augmentors swag up for grabs for those who dominate their opponents.

“We can’t wait to get our unique game into the hands of players and see their reactions first-hand,” says co-founder and Creative Director, Michael Deon, “the first Comic Con Africa is sure to be an event that will long be remembered and we’re excited to be able to be a part of it.”
