Pokémon TCG unleashes Dual Expansion - Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and White Flare

The Pokémon Trading Card Game returns to the Unova region with the highly anticipated Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt and White Flare expansions, launching in South Africa on 1 August 2025. Together, these twin releases spotlight all 156 Pokémon originally discovered in Unova, rekindling nostalgia and adventure for collectors and competitors alike.

Each half of this dual expansion brings a unique energy and a distinctive collection of cards, offering fans a chance to reunite with favourites and uncover rare treasures across both sets.

In Scarlet & Violet—Black Bolt, players will discover the inspiring power of ideals, led by the amazing Zekrom ex and the melodious Meloetta ex. Collectors can look forward to:

• More than 65 illustration rare cards
• Over 5 special illustration rare cards
• More than 5 Pokémon ex
• Parallel cards featuring Poké Ball patterns

Meanwhile, Scarlet & Violet—White Flare explores the undeniable power of truth, with Reshiram ex and Keldeo ex taking the spotlight. This expansion includes:

• Over 170 cards
• 70 illustration rare cards
• More than 5 special illustration rare cards
• More than 5 Pokémon ex
• Parallel cards featuring Poké Ball patterns

Both expansions offer exclusive cards and captivating artwork that celebrate Unova’s Legendary and Mythical Pokémon. Collectors and players are encouraged to complete their journey through both Black Bolt and White Flare to catch every Unova Pokémon and experience the full scope of this dynamic split set.
