Give the gift of serenity this Mother’s Day

Nurturers, care-givers, protectors and friends, Mothers are the masters of juggling, multi-tasking and sacrifice, and what better way to show your appreciation than giving them the gift of serenity.
The SPA at Sandton Sun (https://www.tsogosun.com/sandton-sun-hotel/spa) focuses on holistic wellbeing, restoration and calm. Your mom will tune out the sound of the city as trained therapists awaken her tired muscles, refresh her stressed skin, beautify her body and slow any signs of ageing.
Mother’s Day specials valid for the month of May include the 90-minute Mother’s Day Pamper at R1 150 per person, which includes a Glow Boost facial, Fusion massage and Mother’s Day gift. There’s also the Bespoke package, consisting of a 30-minute back massage, 30-minute foot massage and 30-minute Indian head massage for R1 080. The third, ultra-luxurious option is the Revive package, which consists of two-and-a-half hours of indulgent pampering including a Radiance facial, Fusion massage with self-heating mask as well as a manicure and polish, for only R1 400. The May specials are part of the SPA’s calendar of monthly special promotions, offering exceptional treatment packages designed to pamper and restore.
Signature massages, spa collection packages along with a full menu of beautifying and restoring treatments for the entire body have been created by the SPA, combining African natural ingredients and global therapies from Bali to Sweden.
Each of the eight treatment rooms are quiet spaces of calm. Guests are encouraged to turn off distracting devices and invited to choose their preferred music or background ambient sounds. Treatment rooms include private shower areas and spa attire is provided. For a shared Mother’s Day experience, the couple’s treatment room offers a wonderful opportunity to bond over a massage.
To finish off Mom’s well-deserved pampering, treat her to a sumptuous brunch, lunch or a glass of bubbles at San Deck, which offers a selection of signature South African dishes and a vast range of bespoke cocktails, fine wines, craft beer, gin, whisky and rum and more. The Mother’s Day lunch at San will be a decadent affair, with live entertainment, a mouth-watering lunch and a gift for Mom. Lunch starts at 13:00 and is priced at R450 per adult and R225 per child under 12. Children under five eat for free. Bookings are essential.
