Beef Tataki
A delicious dish that’s best enjoyed with a glass of white wine and a beach sunset.
Ingredients
1 Table Spoon
Olive Oil
1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
2 Pieces of 200g Beef Fillet
1 Packet of Egg Noodles
Sliced Pickled Ginger
Fresh Coriander
Dipping Sauce
1/2 Cup Sesame Seeds
4cm Fresh Ginger
3 Garlic Cloves
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
Let’s Get Cooking!
Melt the butter and a splash of olive oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Sprinkle the sesame seeds over the fillet, covering all sides, and then place it into the hot pan. Sear the fillet until caramelised on all sides. For the sauce, roast the sesame seeds in the oven until golden before all them to the grated fresh ginger, mashed garlic, sugar and soy sauce. Place the noodles in a pot of boiling water and cook according to packet instructions. Drain them once cooked and add to the frying pan with the steak. To assemble, thinly slice the seared fillet, sprinkle over the pickled ginger and pour over the sauce. Top with fresh coriander and fried noodles.
