Fresh out of Durban, Top Virus making waves with their expansive sounds.

Top Virus is a group originally from KZN, Zondela Township in Ulundi few Kilometers away from Durban, consists of 3 members Pillos, Percy, and LoveLase. The trio group started their music journey in 2013 when they met in a studio doing solo projects.
“It just happened that we clicked and we decided to work together and make good quality music, we started performing at taverns and sheebeens and people loved our music,” says Lovelase.
In 2015 Top Virus released their first Album titled “First Attack” which they sold in the street and taxi ranks around KZN, Having the freshest swag, they also gained popularity because of the way they dress and look.
“We made our name from selling our music in the street, what pushed us even more is that people are so supportive, they love our music and they buy our music” Pillos quoted
Talent alone is not enough, the group potential attracted an investor who’s also currently the group manager, Mthokozisi Ngcobo.
“He saw us performing at Ulundi plaza in KZN, he liked our music and performance but after understanding our vision, He bought us our own studio equipment and invested in our brand image. “Says Percy.
This boosted their creativity and their big breakthrough came when they recorded smash hit titled “Imali Eningi” The hit song said to have opened a lot of doors for the group, for the first time their song had airplay in the biggest radio stations in the country like Ukhozi fm, Igagasi fm and just to name a few.
In early this year the group came to Johannesburg to shoot a music video for the hit song “Imali Eningi” the music video got TV airplay on Live amp (SABC 1), Club 808 (eTV), MTV Base, Channel O, Trace TV, Soweto TV, 1KZN, With more than 40,000 viewers on YouTube.
The group also performed in big events, and shared a stage with the likes of Big Nuz, Dj Tira, Professor, Babes Wodumo and many more.
The success of the song “Imali Eningi” has opened doors for the group in our neighboring countries.
Top Virus is planning to release its new single hit song “Wombolo" Featuring Mozambique Artist Lloyd Kappas.
“We collaborated with Mozambique artist Lloyd Kappas on our new hit song “Wombolo”, the song has already been released in Mozambique courtesy of Beyond Talents, and the feedback we are receiving is amazing, the song is receiving huge radio-airplay and overwhelming support from the general public.”
Work is still being done on the album. “We would like to work with legends such as, Dj Ganyani, Oskido, Dj Tira and other Legends in the music business”, they also want to focus on doing more charity work.
