Endless Horizons reopens after stunning refurbishment
Submitted by: Robyn CarringtonThursday 16th August saw the grand re-opening of Endless Horizons Boutique Hotel, following a R6 million refurbishment of the hotel rooms, restaurant, deck areas and conferencing venue.
Owner, Gary Harlow, addressed the media and invited guests, thanking them for their patience during the refurb, which had taken more time than expected, as the redesign ideas keep flowing, and adding that there are still some small changes to come. His message spoke to the Hotel’s vision, focusing on what he refers to as, “guest delight,” where the product delivered on a homely atmosphere, combined with impeccable service, where guests were made to feel like family. The key is to create an atmosphere where people wanted to come back, due to the truly, “home-from-home,” experience.
An avid traveller himself, Harlow only stays in boutique hotels around the world, and has been inspired by many of the small touches in these hotels, some of which he intends to implement at Endless Horizons. This includes an honesty bar in the upstairs cigar bar, where patrons will be at liberty to pour their own beverages, and simply complete their details in a book that will be placed in the area. “Luckily we own a wine farm, so supplying top-notch wine and champagne for the honesty bar won’t be a problem,” joked Harlow.
He added that the additional changes still to come include, soft down lighting under the deck areas to create a welcoming evening ambiance, the conversion of the current gym into a spa, offering a host of relaxing treatments, and a review of the current restaurant menu.
In closing, Harlow stated that, “we have been really listening to what our guests want, as we want them to be proud of their choice to stay with us, and to recommend us to their friends and colleagues.”
