Bukelani Institute Presents CultureFest 2024: Celebrating African Heritage and New Beginnings

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal – 03 October, 2024 — Bukelani Institute is thrilled to announce CultureFest 2024, a vibrant celebration of African New Year and African Heritage, to be held at the Courtyard Theatre, Durban University of Technology, on Saturday, 05 October 2024. This free-entry event promises a day filled with music, dance, and rich cultural experiences.

CultureFest 2024 will bring together some of the most talented acts in the region, showcasing an electrifying line-up that includes Amawundlu Productions, United Brothers, Umlazi Peaceful Singers, The Fire Nation, Yamkela, Imbongi Engafundile, Teddy Bear, and Ubuhle beMinistries. These extraordinary performers will light up the stage, celebrating the essence of African heritage through the power of performing arts.

Vincent Zulu, the Executive Producer, stated, "CultureFest is a homage to our roots and the richness of African traditions. It is an opportunity for communities to gather and embrace our heritage while welcoming the African New Year in true celebratory fashion."

The event is co-produced by Wandile Dlamini and Nomzamo Amanda Ngoze, both of whom are passionate about preserving and showcasing African cultural expressions. This year's CultureFest will also be broadcast live on Facebook, allowing audiences from all over the world to partake in the festivities.
