The Afrikaans romantic comedy drama is currently available on BoxOffice on the DSTV platform.
Blouwyn tells the story of Sonja Poerstamper ( Liza du Toit) who imitates her twin sister as the pastor of a small West coast town.
As always she peddles her actor friend, Lukas Winterbach (Renier Weideman) with to play her husband.
They soon get involved in the lives of the local people while at back at home the family is falling apart. Her mother's battle with breast cancer and her father's apathy are taking their toll.
It's all fun and games untill someone gets hurt and then Sonja's house of cards come tumbling down and she needs to accept that love requires what she freaked most. Intimacy or as the biker-poet puts it, Blue wine.
This panoramic film is meant to entertain and to illicit conversation with a narrative put to the audience is a new way.
Songs are provided by talent such as SAARKIE, NITA PELZER, TERMINATRYX while the theme song is composed and performed by NIANELL.
