Unlock Your 100% with #Krush as we appreciate and ameliorate Thinus Marais’ budding floral artistry aspirations on SABC 2
From stethoscopes to floral arrangements, one man’s dream to take over the world one petal at a time.
Thinus Marais is a medical doctor from Cape Town who works for a vaccine company and volunteers at a local women's health clinic in his spare time. His passion for flowers cultivated dreams of being a florist which ultimately led him to learn more about flower arranging so he can share his passion with the world over.
This week on Unlock Your 100% with #Krush we were introduced to Thinus and delved into the magical world of floral arranging. We followed his journey as he explored the spellbinding realm of floral artistry as he created his first flower installation for a celebrity client.
We ventured deeper into his passion with the gentle guidance of Ash Ceramics and professional florist Mr. Munro who helped unlock his full potential. His story is a testament to the sentiments of Dr.Fezile Mkhize who speaks to not conforming to societal standards of conventional work life but rather, “shaking things up” by unlocking and living your authentic truth.
With nurturing mentorship and guidance from KRUSH, there are no boundaries to the artistry that Thinus has to offer the vibrant floral community. We cannot wait to see what the future has in store for Thinus and his budding craft.
Tune in to SABC 2 every Wednesday at 7:30 PM to catch more inspiring stories from everyday South Africans who in the next weeks to come will showcase their talents on the national stage and show us how they unlock their 100%.
