Johannesburg, Gauteng – BE BEAUTIFUL EVENTS has officially launched ticket registration and fundraising for their Virtual Cocktail & Canape Masterclass in aid of FoodForward SA.  The Virtual Cocktail & Canape Masterclass in aid of FoodForward SA will be presented by Thee Gintleman, and Kholiwe Cooks,  and will be held 26th September at 16:00pm on Zoom. The Sponsors of an incredible goodie bag for participants are The Old Stone Mill, The Gourmet Grocer and O’Halo. Prizes donated from The Gourmet Grocer and Arbour Café.

One third of all food produced in South Africa is wasted while a staggering 14 million people don't know where their next meal is coming from. Established in 2009 to address widespread hunger in South Africa, FoodForward SA connects a world of excess to a world of need by recovering quality edible surplus food from the consumer goods supply chain and distributing it to community organisations that serve the poor. More than 80% of the food recovered is nutritious food. FoodForward SA distributes 5,115 tons of food, equivalent to 20million meals valued at R0.85 per meal, serving 412,000 beneficiaries served daily.

“The event will focus on promoting and supporting Proudly South African businesses, products and fundraising for those most in need in South Africa. As South Africans, there is a strong urge for us to stand together during these difficult times- to show kindness and empathy and develop our sense of community.”

Participants are invited to join us in an intimate an interactive Masterclass whereby they will learn to make two delicious and unique cocktails and canapes facilitate by the creative Kholiwe Cooks and Thee Gintleman. There will be a Q&A and upskilling with handy tips from our talented  hosts. Participants will also receive a gorgeous goodie box prior to the event filled with a Barron apron, Wedgewood nougat, two delicious 250ml O’Halo kombuchas as well as Old Stone Mill Za’atar, Sumac, an Tahini. Each of the products included is locally produced, and aims to be Kosher, Halaal, and healthy free from additives, MSG's and preservatives. There will be a brief feature from FoodForward SA raising awareness of the work they do in SA, and participants and the public will be encouraged to donate.  Contributions will enable Be Beautiful Events to meet their goal of raising a minimum of R2500 for FoodForward SA who provide nourishment to people in South Africa.  Your generous donations will assist funding their mission.
