The fourth leg of this year’s HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience played out at Clearwater Mall on Gauteng’s West Rand, from 12 to 14 July 2024. South Africa’s biggest mall-based gaming showdown turned into a magnet for the region’s most devoted gamers, who came together for a weekend packed with epic battles and a sense of community.
The star of the show was the exhilarating EAFC tournament, where local gaming legends unleashed their incredible skills and strategies. The climax of the event? Crowning the winners:
1st Place: Hamza Moosa2nd Place: Lushen Govender3rd Place: Dale Nott
Hamza Moosa will now advance to the national finale, promising to be a showdown of epic proportions, scheduled for 11 to 15 September 2024 at Canal Walk in Cape Town, where the finalists will battle it out for the ultimate title and a share of the impressive grand prize pool.

Clearwater Mall was alive with excitement as gamers and fans gathered for a weekend filled with epic competitions and interactive entertainment. The HYPROP MTN SHIFT Gaming Experience transformed the mall into a gamer’s dreamland, attracting crowds eager to watch and participate in a multitude of gaming adventures.

Fortnite enthusiasts engaged in high-speed, tactical battles, while those craving action got their fix in the Fighting Game Face-offs, displaying their prowess in hits like Tekken and Street Fighter. Minecraft fans also had their moment, showing off their creativity and survival instincts in captivating challenges.

- Brawlhalla Bouts: Fans of platform fighting games enjoyed intense matches in Brawlhalla.
- Aim Lab Challenges: Attendees tested their precision and marksmanship in these skill-based trials.
- MTN Beat Saber Challenge: Visitors experienced the thrill of the rhythm-based VR game, with the top scorer of the weekend winning an Xbox Series S.
- Keyboard Rebuild Race: Participants raced against time to rebuild keyboards, vying for exciting prizes.
