The new board, which will serve a 3 year term, has been working behind the scenes to present a business plan and an exciting value proposition that will ensure that: (i) MOSHITO is well positioned as Africa’s premier event for the music industry to engage on the business of music, and (ii) by 2015 MOSHITO will be Africa’s most trusted premier event for the music industry and is strategically aligned with similar markets around world, (iii) and that by 2016 MOSHITO is Africa’s most desired music industry event where business meets music and music creates opportunities.
Determined to bring new and exciting elements at this year’s Moshito, the Board will in the next few weeks unveil an exciting programme that will have fresh perspectives to hosting music conferences, which will include a photographic and film exhibition including Congo Day plus an opening and closing concert.
A press conference is planned for early August where the Board will clearly outline its plans on how it will grow Moshito to be the most desired destination by music practioners. We are encouraged by the new partners that have come on board this year, including the Recording Industries of South Africa (RISA) and two new music markets from the Continent (the Atlantic Music Expo in Cape Verde) and Doa Doa Music Market in East Africa”.
Sipho Sithole also mentioned that the Board will soon be announcing Moshito’s strategic technical partner, including unveiling the face of Moshito for 2014. He stated that this year’s programming will be robust, exciting and engaging that delegates to this year’s conference will take home something.
