Panasonic, one of the leading electronics companies in the world and the largest in Japan, recently announced that it will be running a nationwide campaign and giving away products to the value R500 000.
Customers can win prizes by simply having a picture taken by the sales staff with their favorite Panasonic product and props provided in store. The customer has to approve the picture before it is uploaded to Facebook. By taking and uploading pictures of customers with their favourite Panasonic product, the sales staff also stand a chance to win their share of R100 000 worth of Panasonic products.
“Our goal is to further establish our brand in the South African market by engaging the public. We hope that this campaign will excite South Africans about our extensive range of products”, says Dave Smith, General Manager, Panasonic South Africa.
The competition will run from 25 June to 6 August 2015 with R100 000 worth of products up for grabs each week. Among the products to be won are Panasonic TVs, Lumix cameras, Panasonic cameras and Panasonic audio equipment. The competition allows sales staff to become educated about Panasonic products and in turn educate their customers about the range of products available in South Africa. The campaign forms part of Panasonic’s strategy to retake the South African market by creating awareness around the brand and driving traffic to retail outlets.
