New CEO for South Africa's biggest search engin - Ananzi
Written by: Save to InstapaperCarl van Rooyen has been appointed as the Managing Director for Ananzi PTY Ltd, part of the Braby’s Group of companies.
“Carl is the natural choice for the position of Managing Director at Ananzi. He has outstanding leadership capabilities. He has been with the company for over 18 years and has been key in growing the business to where it is today. Under his leadership the company will grow from strength to strength both in South Africa and the continent,” comments Des Isaacs, CEO of Ananzi’s holding company Braby's.
“With the ever changing landscape of digital media and on-line service offerings I hope to maximise my experience within the industry to grow Ananzi into a digital super power both in South Africa and the rest of Africa. I am very fortunate to have an amazing team around me that know the industry exceptionally well and whom I know and trust” comments Carl.
Carl, after completing studies worked for a development house for one year before joining Braby’s in 1995. He developed the in-house systems that are in use today. He became IT director in 2001 and was appointed as Managing Director of Braby’s in 2012.
