Written by: Save to InstapaperUnique opportunity to get paid to learn mobile and cross-platform application development and integration skills during 2 month training
Johannesburg, South Africa, October 8, 2015 – Magic Software South Africa, a provider of software platforms for enterprise mobility, cloud applications, and business integration, announced today that, in conjunction with Copious Software, they are offering a two-month paid software developer training program in South Africa. As part of this training, students will receive a solid foundation in mobile and desktop application development and integration, gaining important skills required to compete for opportunities in the fast growing South African IT industry.
Interns will receive hands-on training on the Magic xpa Application Platform, Magic xpi Integration Platform, and SQL, while gaining valuable real-world work experience, related soft skills, and mentoring from seasoned experts. Successful students will become certified Magic programmers and have access to permanent positions at some of South Africa’s top enterprises and Independent Software Vendors.
“According to the World Economic Forum’s Outlook on the Global Agenda 2015 Report, education and skill development is the biggest challenge facing Africa in 2015, states Lindsay Britz, Marketing Manager at Magic Software South Africa. “While South African businesses have the potential to gain competitive advantage by taking a technological leapfrog over established companies, the shortage of mobile and cross-platform development skills is reigning in this potential. We are happy to offer this paid internship program to help fill the skill gap and increase the number of Magic certified programmers available to our customers and partners.”
The internship program is scheduled to start in October. In order to be selected for the program, candidates must have a BSc degree in Science, IT, Computers, Math or similar; basic software programming knowledge; be team players and have excellent analytical and communication skills.
