JoomlaDay™ South Africa 2015 Announced for Port Elizabeth 6th - 7th March 2015

And we’re heading to the Friendly City! Yes that’s right JoomlaDay™ South Africa is booked and being hosted by the kind folks of Port Elizabeth on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March and - with so much time to plan and prepare we KNOW we’ll be packed to the rafters.
A suggestion was made at the last JoomlaDay™ South Africa that we rotate where the weekend is held allowing for us to see more of our beautiful country and / or give an opportunity to those unable to travel out of town the ability to share in the knowledge / expertise and camaraderie that these events offer.
Next year PE are the lucky hosting town and, just in case you need any encouragement to be at the next JoomlaDay™ South Africa here’s are some interesting facts we didn’t know:
- PE has possibly the greatest number of nicknames among them the ‘Friendly City’, the ’10-minute-city’ and the ‘windy city’!
- The oldest bowling green is housed in PE
- After Cape Town PE is the second most historically-rich city in South Africa AND the second largest city in SA
Not that’s it’s all fun and games over the weekend - after all we’re here to learn, share and grow. JoomlaDay™ South Africa 2015 is still in its infancy in terms of confirmed speakers. topics and give-aways (don’t be shy - we all like free stuff!) but you can be sure that Port Elizabeth will not allow Johannesburg to take the lead in the most successful conference to date!!
As mentioned the conference will take place on Friday 6 and Saturday 7 March at The Kelway Hotel (http://www.joomladay.org.za/event-information.html) and we’ve negotiated excellent rates (http://www.joomladay.org.za/event-information/accommodation.html) for us JUG’ers so we suggest booking early to avoid missing out.
Need some reminders of ‘why you should be there’ no problem - we’ve got that covered too: http://www.joomladay.org.za/reasons.html.
Booking is not yet open but please sign up for our newsletter (http://www.joomladay.org.za/event-information/register.html) and we’ll notify you as soon as we’re good to go!
