French Embassy in South Africa to host Innovation Wall, 10 startups at AI Expo Africa 2020

The expo, which is now in its third year, moves online this year and will be held on 3 and 4 September as a virtual event, with an extended 30-day life, post-show to allow for greater engagement across the African continent.
The French Embassy will this year host an Innovation Wall, as well as a dedicated French Pavilion which will showcase 10 French AI and Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) startups.
No stranger to the trade show, the French Embassy were Premium Sponsors of AI Expo Africa 2019 where the embassy, together with Business France, showcased French innovation and expertise in robotics, AI and other 4IR technologies.
French Ambassador, Aurélien Lechevallier said: "We are thrilled to take part for the second year in AI Expo Africa. We aim at realising with our international partners the full potential of Artificial Intelligence and to include the greatest number of people. In particular, the Global Partnership on AI – GPAI, led by France and our Canadian colleagues, should gather more and more African stakeholders in the years to come, around an Artificial Intelligence based on human rights, diversity, innovation and economic growth.”
