MIAG introduced the First B2B Flooring Expo in Southern Africa

Johannesburg, 22 April 2025 - The Media in Africa Group (MIAG) proudly announced a flooring exhibition in Africa, for Africa. Scheduled for 15 and 16 May 2025, the event will take place at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, Gauteng.

The inaugural FLOORS in Africa Expo is the first in the region to specifically target the flooring industry. It is billed as a premier international business to business (B2B) trade show for the flooring industry, targeting industry leaders, architects, developers, buyers and specifiers.

Niche flooring event

The FLOORS in Africa Expo promises to bring local manufacturers and suppliers of flooring systems, adhesives, installation tools and equipment and ancillary products together, for the Southern African market.

Chief Executive Officer and Editor-in-Chief for Media in Africa Group, Marlene van Rooyen explains, “The FLOORS in Africa Expo is the only exhibition on the continent solely dedicated to flooring, it is set to be the foremost event for the industry. A flooring exhibition in Africa, for Africa.”

Specialised offering

“This is not your ordinary event,” says van Rooyen, “this is a networking and business-focussed expo for flooring professionals, and retailers.”

Specialised demos, flooring industry talks with local and international speakers, and supplier exhibits, are planned over the two days. Van Rooyen reveals, “Our key sponsors of the event are Polysales and FloorWorx.”

Confirmed exhibitors include some of the biggest brands in flooring, ranging across all formats. From functional flooring to laminates and decking, vinyl floor coverings and tiles, as well as equipment and accessory suppliers and manufacturers.
