Mother’s Day will be more than memorable at Clico Boutique Hotel, Restaurant & Conferencing. Treat Mom (and the family) to a five-course Mother's Day lunch at an oasis of elegance tucked away in Rosebank on Sunday, 08 May.
The unpretentiously exquisite menu prepared by culinary creative Chef Davies Moagi and his team costs R595 per person and includes:
Amuse-bouche
Roasted baby onion and goat cheese tart served spicy pumpkin purée finished with coriander pumpkin pesto
Starter
Juniper rubbed springbok loin accompanied by sweet potato fondant finished with a sage and berry jus
OR
Cumin, wild garlic, and soy marinated tofu served with roasted plum and Szechuan peppercorn jam and miso dust
Fish course
Bouillabaisse served with ciabatta finished with herb gremolata
OR
Garlic and lemon roasted artichokes set upon baba ghanoush finished with herb gremolata
Main course
Chicken galantine stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and ricotta served with potato fondant, tenderstem broccoli, and finished with thyme jus
OR
Mushroom and chestnut wrapped in a Savoy cabbage leaf, set upon a smoked chilli and roasted tomato risotto
Dessert
Apple tarte tatin served with Madagascan vanilla bean ice-cream

Restaurant Week has been extended until 15 May this year and Clico’s menu crafted by Chef Davies Moagi and Mixologist / Restaurant Manager Sandile Mavuso features:

Pulled braised beef topped with pasta sheet parsnip purée, beetroot purée and Parmesan crisp

Roasted onion tart with goat’s cheese salad
Main
Grilled hake accompanied by savoury black rice, fish croquette and hollandaise sauce
OR
Coffee smoked beef short rib with mustard and red onion marmalade mash, broccolini, finished with jus
OR
Butternut and lentil strudel accompanied by char grilled baby onion, parsnip purée and Thai curry sauce
Dessert
Vegan mango and coconut panna cotta served with textures of mango
OR
Flourless chocolate torte: frozen passionfruit, white chocolate mousse and pliable chocolate

Clico’s conference facility is unique, diverse and ideal for smaller and more intimate events and conferences, fitted with the high-quality AV equipment and featuring sliding doors that open onto the garden with an outside patio area for drinks and canapés.
Clico offers nine comfortable and beautifully appointed rooms of various sizes (five king and four queen/twin-bedded). Tastefully finished in understated warm earthy browns, creams and soft greens, each room features a mini-bar, safe, flat-screen TV with DStv (satellite TV), a desk / dressing table and air-conditioning.
