With more than 25 years as a florist, Vernon Wasserfall owner of Flowers from Heaven, located in the northern suburbs of Cape Town, (Brackenfell) and specializes in floral arrangements and weddings. This year Wasserfall, was invited to attend the annual Interflora African Areas convention held at the Saint George Hotel in Pretoria on August 15, 2015. Showing passion and natural flair for his trade Vernon was able to secure the Gold Medal for creating the best arrangement in a two hour time period.
The convention is aimed to bring florist from all over the continent together and provides a platform to showcase new ideas and innovations in the industry. Competing against florists from all over Africa Wasserfall was thrilled to be able to bring the prestigious title to Cape Town. Vernon works hard to meet the satisfaction and needs of his valued customers and always aims to give them the best for their needs. Being the grand winner of the 2015 Interflora African Areas Convention is another important milestone in his career.
Vernon said: “I was excited to take part in the prestigious competition and was overwhelmed by the honor of achieving Gold. I thank Intaflora for the opportunity to show what Flowers From Heaven has to offer.” Catering for various occasions including weddings, birthday parties, corporate events and even funerals Vernon is always ready to assist.
