INTRODUCING THE NEW DERMAHEAL:Lamelle’s NEW Dermaheal Moisturisers
The most powerful age correcting skin care range on the market
It’s no secret that as we get older the essential architecture of our skin deteriorates and ages and the inevitable consequence is sagging and wrinkling. While it may be a natural process, ageing gracefully is an art that has its foundations firmly rooted in science. Fortunately science-based beauty house, Lamelle Research Laboratories, has developed new scientific breakthrough technology that has been proven to slow down and even stop degeneration of the skin. Launching this month (September), the new Dermaheal range of moisturisers, the only products available to address all three processes that cause ageing, includes Dermaheal Cellular Repair Cream, Dermaheal Renewal Cream and Dermaheal Ultra Renewal Cream*.
To appreciate the innovation of the new science that has been developed and introduced into the formulation of these unique age-correcting moisturisers, it’s important to first grasp the processes responsible for natural ageing of the skin.
As we age, our cells become less efficient; they divide more slowly and function less effectively. Genetic alterations are largely responsible for this decline, but changes can be accelerated by the environment.
When enzymes in the body damage and collapse the structure of our skin, it’s made weaker and less resilient to environmental onslaughts. The inevitable consequence is wrinkles, thinning and sagging.
Most scientists agree that chronic inflammation – or inflammaging – in the body is the true cause of ageing; it damages cells, causes injury and general dysfunction. Unlike “normal” inflammation that’s responsible for healing, this is a damaging form of inflammation that you can’t see or feel. It’s just there inside you, ageing you at a cell level and left unchecked, destructive enzymes can be activated that reduce overall cell function resulting in deterioration of the quality of your skin.
* Only available from end October
The new and modified Dermaheal range actively addresses all these ageing issues with science-based technology that’s the first of its kind in South Africa and quite possibly the world.
Up until now, the only way to manage inflammation has been with the inclusion of ingredients that suppress it – but only after the inflammation has already been triggered in the body. The good news is there are codes in the body that regulate inflammation and Lamelle has uncovered the way to isolate the good from the bad and can switch off the bad inflammaging – the chronic inflammatory proteins called cytokines – and boost the anti-inflammatory ones. Simply explained, the moisturisers prevent inflammation from being activated and powerfully suppress any existing inflammation; no other product can claim to include this technology.
The original Dermaheal range was the first South African skincare product to include growth factors and while still in the new formulation, they are now even more advanced complex combinations and at higher concentrations too. The combination of these growth factors with the cytokines and inhibitors, results in an optimal balance that blocks the enzymes responsible for tissue damage. The holy grail of growth hormone (TGF-B3 which is absent in adults) is an integral part of the formulation and stimulates better collagen production in the skin.
The new Dermaheal formulation has also been exquisitely formulated to offer three new luxury bases for the creams. These paraben-free, age correcting moisturisers are Lamelle’s most powerful comprehensive solution to the prevention and management of photoageing. A magnificently rich and fragrance free silky emulsion, the new formulation cream is rapidly absorbed into the skin. Moisture is locked in throughout the day and it has a deeply hydrating effect. Environmental irritation and redness is reduced and improvements in texture, skin firming, fine lines and wrinkles can be expected from the range. Faster wound healing is yet another Dermaheal advancement. The moisturisers should be used in conduction with an SPF like Helase 50.
The two previously available Dermaheal moisturisers have fallen away and been replaced with three new products.
Introducing the New Dermaheal Products in the Range:
- Dermaheal Cellular Repair Cream (50ml) can be used twice daily – RSP: R749It’s recommended as a corrective measure for normal, dry or sensitive skin types.
- Dermaheal Renewal cream (50ml) can be used twice daily – RSP: R949It’s recommended for dry, photo-aged / photo-damaged skins.
- Dermaheal Ultra Renewal Cream (50ml) used at night only – RSP: Still being confirmedIt’s recommended for dry, photo-aged / photo-damaged skins.
The original range, which is still available, includes a gentle and foaming cleanser, eye and neck cream, sunscreen as well as powerful booster treatments in the form of serums. These serums have been developed to accelerate and stimulate powerful regeneration and are used periodically to boost the skin’s remodeling. All these products are available nationwide from accredited Lamelle skincare suppliers and aesthetic doctors.
As we age, our cell turnover becomes sluggish and new cell production decreases by over 50%. The new anti-ageing moisturisers are the ultimate in laser-free skin remodeling and the enhanced formulation is the most advanced Dermaheal complex yet.
