G-Star RAW launches Trench Coat capsule collection for Autumn 2022

This season, we revamp the classic trench coat, the G-Star way. Utilizing new fabrics and styles to design a modern take on the traditional coats. The wardrobe staple will come in a variety of lengths paired with premium design features that add to a quality, transitional piece. With details taking it a level above the rest, the trench coat completes the statement outfit for every occasion.

The G-Star way

The latest G-Star RAW trench coat collection will be refreshed with a new line-up of styles and fabrics. Across both menswear and womenswear, we are incorporating denim, cotton twill and sophisticated mixed blends, amongst others. In addition, the women's collection will introduce the extraordinary and smart S-back silhouette, a shape of which is feminine, bold and timeless. The curated trench coat collection encapsulates the G-Star RAW DNA with each dynamic, staple piece.

From functional coat to fashion staple

Around two centuries ago, an adhesive rubber solution between garments was patented. The genius idea resulted in a waterproof raincoat. And the first customers? The British army. Over time, the trench coat moved from a functional uniform to every day clothing. In the fifties, Hollywood blockbusters brought even more popularity to the garment, marking the start of a worldwide trend. The classic coat continues to prevail in 2022, refusing to go out of fashion. And for this season, we introduce our very own contemporary twist to the style.
