Art Meets Heart in the Cape Winelands - The Art of Giving Auction Returns this October

Somerset West, South Africa - On Thursday, 02 October 2025, the Erinvale Golf Club will come alive with creativity, community, and compassion as The Art of Giving Auction opens its doors from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. This annual charity art auction is hosted by Senecio, a non-profit dedicated to supporting adults with physical disabilities in underprivileged communities across the Western Cape.

The event promises to be an unforgettable evening where guests can enjoy a drink on arrival, light snacks, and the thrill of bidding on exceptional artworks from celebrated artists including Emily Rice, Neil Janse van Niewenhuizen, Liffey Joy, Phillip Britz, and Vincent de Beer. The auction will be led by charismatic MC and Auctioneer Theo Willemse, ensuring a lively atmosphere from the first bid to the final hammer.

Senecio’s work has already touched thousands of lives with 5,489 beneficiaries, 25,963 kilometres travelled, and support for 36 centres across the region. Through therapeutic interventions by occupational therapists as well as training for caregivers at special care centres, the organisation empowers families and strengthens care networks.

Tickets are R100 per person and can be purchased online. Each ticket includes a complimentary welcome drink and a selection of light snacks. All proceeds from the evening will go directly towards sustaining and expanding Senecio’s outreach, ensuring that more adults with disabilities receive the care, support, and dignity they deserve.
