Epson projection turns Christmas into a visual extravaganza at Monte Casino

Friends and families in Johannesburg searching for fun, enchanting experiences to enjoy this December holiday won’t want to miss out on the spectacular Christmas story light shows taking place every evening until 31 December 2023 at Monte Casino.

The visual extravaganza made possible by Epson – a global market leader in projection – and setup and managed by Sound Stylists, was designed exclusively for Monte Casino with Epson’s projection mapping technology. Set to wow audiences young and old this festive season, the show will depict life-size and spectacular projections across the Piazza Hotel’s Tuscan facade, bringing the building to life with festive-themed stories for everyone to enjoy.

“Whether seated around the Piazza enjoying dinner or visiting specifically to view the amazing projections, patrons are bound to be enchanted by the vibrant lights and colours on display, thanks to this new type of 360-degree, immersive experience patented by Epson,” says Timothy Wilson, Visual Instruments Business Unit Lead Southern Africa at Epson.

“Projection mapping has the power to transform any space into what feels like a limitless realm for boundless immersive experiences. Whether we’re building stunning activations for global events or crafting unforgettable moments at intimate gatherings, projection mapping can unlock the potential of any location,” adds Wilson.

Epson designed the activation using its latest range of innovative projectors, including the 4x EB-PU2220B, 4x ELPMB59/ELPMB84 stacking frames, and 4x ELPLM10 mid-throw lenses, all stacked and aligned using Epson’s Professional Tool software.
