Today Cindy Roberts, owner of Dress & Dare Couture, showcased her bold Fall Winter 2012 collection. Dress & Dare is located in the Thrupps Illovo Centre, just off Oxford Drive in Sandton. The collection, which has just arrived from Europe, boasts bright colours, pencil cuts and elements of fur. “This collection is definitely inspired by the 50’s. It’s exciting, glamorous, colourful, hot and different from anything you’ve seen before” explained Cindy.

The beautiful boutique provided the perfect backdrop for the glamorous, elegant and sophisticated fashion that graced the runway, while customers admired the clothing and sipped champagne.

For those inspired by 50’s icons like Audrey Hepburn and Marilynn Monroe, the Dress & Dare Fall Winter Collection is ideal.

The collection is made up of statement pieces; both smart-casual and corporate clothing are attractive and edgy. From boots, bags, belts and shoes to jackets, skirts, waistcoats and scarves, camel features as this coming Winter’s staple. Electric blue, fiery reds and oranges and hot pink are paired with camel for a pop of colour. There are also subtle suggestions of fur in both accessories and clothing. Key pieces include the swing coat, knee-length pencil skirt and dress, fur leg warmers and the pussycat blouse.

This season the length of the boot has been extended thigh-high while ankle boots remain trendy. Lace-up boots are also big in the collection.

Overall, Dress & Dare’s 2012 Fall Winter collection boasts beautiful 50’s inspired pieces that strike the perfect balance between straight lines and feminine curves.
