South African Wedding Industry Embraces A Smarter Way To Connect Couples And Suppliers With ForeverAfter

ForeverAfter Smart Wedding Planning launches smart matching technology that connects couples and suppliers without directories, advertising spend, or algorithm dependence.
PRETORIA, JULY 2026 — South African wedding suppliers are spending more to be seen and getting less in return.
Directory listings, Google and Meta advertising, search engine optimisation, highly priced print advertising and exhibition stands represent significant ongoing costs for businesses operating in an industry where margins are already under pressure.
At the same time, couples planning weddings in 2026 are navigating a fragmented, expensive, and time-consuming supplier discovery process that has not materially changed in over a decade.
ForeverAfter Smart Wedding Planning, launched 30 January 2026, was built to solve both problems simultaneously.
The platform uses smart matching technology to connect couples directly to vetted suppliers based on what couples want and need in their budget, location, fits their wedding style, and the services they require.
Suppliers do not pay for placement or priority.
Couples do not scroll through directories or sponsored listings.
The match is made by the platform's matching system on the basis of relevance and data.
Built By Industry Professionals
Co-founded by Jacqueline Beyleveldt, a 20-year events and marketing industry veteran, and Shareen Rossouw, founder of The Glitterpot Hair and Make-Up Artistry, ForeverAfter was built from inside the industry it serves.
Both founders have direct experience of the pain points facing suppliers.
Both the monetary and time-consuming cost of visibility, the irrelevance of many enquiries, and the disproportionate power directories hold over small and medium businesses in the wedding space.
"I wanted to build something to change how couples plan weddings and how suppliers get found. Something that shows the industry in real time, giving insight in real time on what couples are planning, what they are prioritising and what they are spending. As ForeverAfter scales, we can provide something the industry has never had before: genuine trend forecasting for the South African market. Our market, our economy, our country relevant. Suppliers will be able to adjust their marketing, packages and rates in real time to meet the demand of the couples planning their weddings." — Jacqueline Beyleveldt, Co-Founder, ForeverAfter Smart Wedding Planning.
"We created this platform to change how things are done. The traditional way isn’t working for many suppliers and couples. This platform was built from real frustration as a make-up artist, and a deep belief that every bride and every supplier deserves a better way to find each other. No more ‘you are too expensive’, now we can match with brides within their budgets. It creates an equal playing field for all suppliers." — Shareen Rossouw, Co-Founder, ForeverAfter Smart Wedding Planning.
A Different Business Model
The platform's model differs from existing solutions in one fundamental way: ForeverAfter does not generate revenue by selling visibility.
Suppliers pay a subscription to be profiled on the platform.
They are then matched to couples based on data.
There are no boosts or sponsored listings, no priority placements, and no pay-to-appear mechanics.
The algorithm matches on relevance.
The result is a smaller number of higher-quality enquiries for suppliers, and a faster, more accurate planning experience for couples.
Growth And Supplier Network
Five months since launch, the platform has grown its vetted supplier network to 78 active suppliers across South Africa, with a further 23 currently onboarding, and has 150 couples actively planning their weddings.
Supplier acquisition spans 14 categories including venues, photography, catering, décor, beauty, entertainment, planning and coordination, and legal services.
The platform is currently active across all nine provinces, with Gauteng and the Western Cape representing the highest concentration of couple demand.
ForeverAfter operates an application-based supplier model.
Not every supplier that applies is approved.
Each application is reviewed against quality, professionalism, and track record criteria.
Supplier spots are limited per category per region.
The curated approach is deliberate as it protects the integrity of the matching pool and the reputation of suppliers already on the platform.
Supplier registration is currently open across various categories, but some regions are approaching the category cap, so spots are limited.
Data-Driven Industry Insights
ForeverAfter also equips suppliers with live platform demand data.
The system tracks real-time data on what couples in their category and region are actively planning, prioritising, and spending.
As the platform scales, it will provide something the South African wedding industry has never had before: genuine trend forecasting built on live, local data relevant to this market, this economy, and this country.
Suppliers will be able to adjust their marketing, packages, and rates in real time to meet actual couple demand.
The platform is free for couples.
Supplier subscription plans are available at https://www.foreverafter.co.za.
