One of the most important festivals of the year for the South Africans that celebrate Diwali is fast approaching!
Bringing friends & families together, enjoying feasts of many kinds, get dressed in attire of vibrant and traditional colour to commemorate the occasion and where families also light lamps and candles in their homes to celebrate the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.
Over the years, The Pavilion Shopping Centre has celebrated many cultural festivals and with Diwali coming up later in October (24th) to celebrate this auspicious occasion and pay tribute to the Indian culture and heritage, The Pav will be hosting a Diwali themed market throughout the Centre, with an element of ‘Fashion around the Mall’.
From October 13 to 16, The Pavilion will be warming up to the celebration of Diwali, focusing on creating a shopping experience with an element of fashion being showcased during the course of the weekend.
Visitors to the market will find models dressed in traditional designer garments with head dresses/pieces walking throughout the Centre, showcasing these beautiful creations.
There will also be a market vibe that will consist of an array of external exhibitors providing a variety of products from that of food, clothing and gifting. Coming together and bringing some light to this market will be an array of Eastern wear, jewellery as well as sweet meats that will be on display throughout the mall in the Festival of Lights Market.
The Market will feature Indian Avatar, NH Designs, IRA Wardrobe, Bollywood Jewels, Gen’s Homebake, The Crate Cartel, Paris Collection, Homebakes & Treats, The Desi Collection, Shopaholic, Exclusive Collection, Saii Creations, Urja,Lotus Little India and much more.
As for the “Fashion around the Mall”, visitors can expect to see an eclectic mix of Eastern Wear Fashions from Sari’s, Lehengas, Punjabis to high fashion brands with an Eastern flair. Fashions will feature Exclusive Collection, Kevin Ellis and Gareth Greaves designs, Lotus Little India, Zaheeda Fairytalez Designer Wear and much more and can be found in the arena near to Cinnabon. These creations will be worn by Roberta Alessandri and Gio Models.
