Situated in a delightfully renovated thatched cottage next to the Rose Terrace Tea Room, the shop offers beautiful gifts for everyone on your festive season list.
Choose from Vergelegen-branded bath, body, home and garden products, or browse a selection of curated accessories, ceramics, delightful children’s toys, confectionery, jams, honey, fresh flowers, and more.
The Potting Shed’s manager Lianne Tyler suggests the following:
- Scented room sprays, candles and lotions. Fill your home with fragrance. Choose from dark honey, rose garden and white wisteria scents, which capture the essence of the estate’s beautiful gardens. R320/room spray, R350/ hand washes and lotions, R530/candle.
- Homestead botanicals gift set. Best-selling Vergelegen branded products in travel sizes, packed in a gorgeous mini homestead gift box for R950. The set comprises dark honey hand wash, rose garden hand wash, white wisteria hand lotion, rose garden room spray, and a rose garden candle.
- Cheese board: A marble and wood cheeseboard, with four matching knives, R1450.
- Table napkins: Sets of four embroidered, 100% organic linen napkins, inspired by roses and sweet peas cultivated in the estate gardens.
- Silk scarves: The range spans silk scarves for R495, to luxurious wraps which combine the softness of cashmere with the warmth of rabbit fur, R5650.
- Pot plants: Retailing for R120 and R180, complemented by gardening gloves, bird boxes, gardener’s friend whipped tallow butter, and more.
- Stationery: Bookmarks for R60; sets of eight gift tags for R120; shopping lists for R110; Vergelegen branded pens for R120; and weekly planners for R165.
Wine tasting room
Choose from an array of wines, bubblies and eau de vie, suitable for relaxed al fresco meals and special occasions.
