Laser marking in the aviation industry

Laser marking in the aviation industry

The Trotec SpeedMarker 300 marking laser is able to mark plastic casings for electronic assemblies, among other things, for long-lasting traceability in the aviation industry.

The range of services includes innovative products in the field of banking automation & medical technology, technical development and production, as well as assembly (e.g tool building), in the field of industrial electronics.

One current project using a Trotec SpeedMarker 300 fiber laser, involves the production of complete electronic assemblies for the aviation industry.

The fiber laser is used specifically to mark plastic casings made of polyester PET with a serial number as well as a 2D data matrix code. The consecutive serial number is generated directly in the SpeedMark laser software. With the help of a separate mounting template, 6 casings can be laser-marked with data per laser process.

The laser marked casing made of polyester PET is used for long-lasting traceability found on various electronic assemblies in aircraft engines for the aviation industry.Laser marking allows permanent traceability on industrial components.

Guaranteed traceability through permanent laser marking

In many industrial sectors, such as the electronics industry, in mechanical engineering and in medical technology, an identification marking of the components used is required by law. Serial numbers or data matrix codes can be precisely and permanently applied to components using laser marking.

Where even the smallest components, as well as details in areas that very difficult to reach, can be marked using our trotec Galvo laser systems.
