Webber Wentzel's Alliance Firm, Linklaters, Appoints South African as Senior Partner
Written by: MyPressportal Team Save to InstapaperSouth African-born Charlie Jacobs will take up the reigns of Senior Partner at global law firm, Linklaterswith effect from 1 October 2016. Jacobs takes over from current Senior Partner Robert Elliott whose term at the helm ends this year.

Charlie Jacobs joined Linklaters 26 years ago and has been with the firm throughout his career. He has worked on some of the largest M&A deals in the market, most recently for SAB Miller on its proposed acquisition by ABI InBev and Glencore on its acquisition of Xstrata. He has also recently acted on the listings of Metro Bank, Steinhoff and CMC Markets. Charlie is also a non-executive director of Fresnillo and Investec.
