Webber Wentzel wins two prestigious SA Professional Services Awards
Submitted by: MyPressportal TeamWe are pleased to announce that Webber Wentzel has been recognised in two categories of the South African Professional Services Awards 2016, which were announced at a gala dinner, held at Montecasino on 3 November 2016.
The firm received the Law Firm of the Year award in recognition of its service excellence, and Managing Partner, Sally Hutton was named Professional Woman of the Year for her professional standing and achievements.
Established by the South African Professional Academy in collaboration with Sanlam, the awards recognise a wide range of professional service disciplines including accounting, management consulting, architecture, legal, quantity surveying and engineering. The awards aim to promote professionalism in the professional services industry as well as provide a platform for interaction across disciplines.
The awards focused on two main categories, namely Legal & Finance and The Built Environment within which there were different categories. The awards were fiercely contested, as seen from the calibre of the shortlisted individuals and firms.

- Law Firm of the Year – Webber Wentzel; Hogan Lovells; Bowmans; Norton Rose Fulbright; Werksmans.
- Woman Professional of the year – Sally Hutton (Webber Wentzel); Sindi Zilwa (Nkonki Inc); Nonku Ntshona (NNAQS Quantity Surveyors); Faith Mwaura (Pamoja Capital Consulting); Welekazi Cele (Hatch Engineering)
