Webber Wentzel is African Law Firm of the Year at the African Legal Awards

This award recognises legal expertise and innovation, strategic vision, client care, employee development and commitment to corporate social responsibility.
In addition, the Webber Wentzel Linklaters Alliance won African Network/Alliance of the Year and the firm's competition and regulatory team was named Competition and Regulatory Team of the Year. The firm was also highly commended in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Intellectual Property categories.
Webber Wentzel was praised by this year’s panel of judges for their deal presence across Africa, as well as for their commitment to access to justice.
Commenting on the awards, Webber Wentzel’s senior partner, Christo Els, says: "We are honoured to receive this endorsement and remain committed to working with our clients to help them achieve success across the African continent as well as continuing to make a difference in our communities".
Hosted by Legal Week and the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa, the African Legal Awards recognise excellence and innovation in the legal profession on the continent. The winners were decided by an independent adjudicating panel made up of general counsel and other senior members of the legal community.
