Submitted by: Teresa SettasUnder the coordination of the South African Diamond Producers Organisation (SADPO), the SADPO Annual Conference will take place on 15 March 2019 in Christiana, North West Province to debate the key issues facing the diamond mining industry. Most notably, through SADPO the alluvial diamond mining industry has attempted to highlight the diversity of the Junior sector and the challenges of the ‘one size fits’ all approach to minerals policy by regulators, and this is likely to be one of the ley topics under discussion.
The keynote address will be delivered by Mr Godfrey Oliphant, Deputy Minister of Mineral Resources. The Minister’s address will be followed by a number of presentations from experts in the industry. The complete agenda follows below.
