Rizegigs Launches Gig Marketplace for Local Freelancers
Submitted by: Rizegigs Pty Ltd
Rizegigs is an innovative South African startup connecting companies with freelancers in the gig economy.
Freelance marketplaces have taken the internet by storm, but South Africa has been left out of the gig revolution. After the COVID pandemic and subsequent lockdown, the idea of Rizegigs was born.
Founded in May this year by Nonhlanhla Shembe, Rizegigs has already signed up over 200 freelancers. Freelancers working in the areas of graphics & design, digital marketing, writing & translation, video & animation, programming & tech, and more are available on the platform.
“I want to make it easy and affordable for companies to hire freelancers and for freelancers to find gigs,” says Nonhlanhla. “With the current state of our economy, remote working is increasingly becoming an option for many.”
All transactions happen securely on the platform, allowing both company and freelancer to engage with confidence. It’s free for companies to order a service and for freelancers to advertise their services, with only some small fees coming into play when a gig is completed.
Browse Rizegigs today to find a local to help you with your needs, or sign up as a freelancer and see how you can start making some extra cash or expand existing services.
