Hirsch’s Carnival hosted their first networking breakfast for 2017 recently, with over 50 business owners from in and around Brakpan attending.
Chris van Biljon, the CEO of Ekurhuleni Business Initiative and Captains of Industry, was the guest speaker and spoke about why initiatives like the Hirsch’s networking functions are so important for business owners, and how these functions can connect local businesses and help them give their businesses the boost they need. Chis said “It’s wonderful that business people can come together like this and connect with such a variety of businesses in an hour.” Each person was given a chance to promote their company with a half a minute pitch, and afterwards make new connections with some of the other attendees.
Jenny-lee McDonald the Public Relations Officer of Hirsch’s said. “We hold a different networking function every Thursday. We want to help businesses succeed, and this is one of the ways we can help.”
