[Pressportal.co.za] Denel and the Paramount Group have announced that they have reached an in- principle agreement that the Goshawk 350 Optronic Observation System will be offered as an option on the Paramount SEEKER manned aerial observation platform.
The Goshawk system has proven its worth in the field and is equipped to deal equally well with daylight and night time observation missions, and can include full thermal imaging capability. If more proof of its capabilities were needed, the South African Police Services (SAPS) have recently selected the Goshawk system for fitment to the SAPS fleet of law enforcement helicopters. As a result of this agreement Paramount Group customers will now receive an affordable highly effective cutting edge and multi-mission surveillance and observation system that can be used in a variety of applications. According to Ivor Ichikowitz, the executive chairman of the Paramount Group, the applications include border patrol, law enforcement, convoy protection, pipeline and power line monitoring, and general intelligence gathering. The total solution package is in keeping with the philosophy of the Paramount Group to provide technologically advanced and cost effective solutions.
