CAPE TOWN, South Africa, September 6, 2017/APO/ --
Deputy Minister for the Public Service and Administration, Dipuo Letsatsi-Duba, will on Friday, 8 September 2017 engage with public servants from the three spheres of government in Kimberley in the Northern Cape.
The engagement forms part of Public Service Month (PSM), an annual standing programme on the Ministry for the Public Service and Administration’s annual calendar. The programme is an integral part of the Batho Pele Revitalisation strategy that seeks to instill and rebuild good ethics, morale, pride and professionalism in how public servants do their work.
The theme for the 6th 2017 PSM is: “Together Moving the Public Service Forward: We Belong, We Care, We Serve”. The rationale for the theme is that, the 2017 celebrations take into account the reflection on the twentieth anniversary of Batho Pele Policy launched in 1997.
The Deputy Minister’s engagement will allow public servants an opportunity to engage on the successes and failures within the system; an opportunity to liaise with staff to ascertain the challenges they are experiencing and obstacles that hinder their maximum delivery of services. Members of the media are invited follows:Date: Friday, 08 September 2017Venue: Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre, Kimberley Time: 10h00Kindly confirm attendance with: Ms Olebogeng Kgasi at 0837965274 olebogengk@dpsa.gov.za.
