BedKing MD Praises “Resilient” South African Public

According to The Bed King MD, Mr Mervyn Ewertse, the resilience of the South African buying public is responsible for the growth in sales at their Western Cape and Gauteng stores. 

Cape Town, September 2013: BedKing ( http://www.bedking.co.za/ ) South Africa has seen some fairly large growth in sales over the past tweleve months, with the largest retail sales growth made over the period starting on the 1st of August and ending on the 31st of August 2013.

MD of BedKing, Mr Mervyn Ewertse, had praise for his company and the South African public as a whole for these improved sales figures:

“Although we do not release actual sales figures to the public, it is heartening to see that countries such as ours are weathering these rough economic times through continued sales growth in the retail sector. This is specifically true for our bedding and mattress stores, who have seen phenomenal growth both in the Western Cape and Gauteng. This is in part due to our amazingly low prices, but also to the extremely resilient nature of the South African consumer as a whole. We would like to thank them for their continued support and look forward to growing our business with this, our very important customer base.”

The Bed King bed and mattress company is a Cape Town based retailer that has recently expanded their business into Johannesburg and Gauteng. They also have both an online or call centre sales option for customers outside of their store “catchment areas” and include national bed and mattress delivery as part of the service.
