3VR's Smart Recorder is MORE than just an ordinary Digital Video Recorder (DVR). A conventional recorder records all video received to disk. The Smart Recorder adds meta-data strings to its video. This makes the video searchable. The Smart Recorder incorporates, Facial Recognition, License Plate Recognition, Camera Movement, Motion Detection, Event Monitoring, Video Import/Export, Image Import/Export, Note Creation, Frame Capturing, Case Management, Directional Movement Detection, Smart Video Storage, Camera Virtualization, Camera Expansion (all upgradeable to 32 channels), Hybrid System (Support: Analog, IP, USB and Megapixel Cameras) and many more features.
The reason for creating such a system is because of investigators spending ours if not weeks sifting through video feeds (Time), traveling to and from the place of the incident (Fuel Costs) and one case against a known criminal equals a lower sentence.
The Smart Recorder records all events as they happen. Within minutes of an event occurring, a control room operator can view footage from a branch remotely, select the scene of interest, find a person’s face as detected by the Smart Recorder's analytics, add the face to an alert and set triggers that send warning messages to persons involved. Should the suspect enter other premises where the Smart Recorder is in use, it will send an alert to all the people’s selected for the event. This is proactive reaction.
The above system has been installed and integrated into Fidelity Security Services Bank Management Division. From their advanced control room they are able to monitor all bank branches connected to their 3VR Enterprise Manager. This system allows Fidelity to search for a suspect across all branches and premises monitored by Fidelity. This allows Fidelity to track the movement of known suspects, whether they move from bank branches to shopping malls to house estates. Criminals beware, Fidelity is watching.
