Hirsch’s Carnival opened their doors recently - with the skies opening as well. But that didn’t stop the happy atmosphere in the store – with customers lining up at the door from early in the morning. They were warmly greeted with coffee, candy floss and popcorn, and The Mayor of Ekurhuleni, Mzwandile Masina also popped around to show his support for this “New Kid On the Block.”
Commenting on the opening, CEO of the Hirsch Group, Allan Hirsch said “I am delighted with the opening of the Carnival city store. It is one of the most attractive stores we have in the Hirsch group - Open and very light. We have been overwhelmed with the welcome from the local community. The Brakpan area is a really fast growing industrial and residential area. I believe the move out here is excellent, and we look forward to many many happy, returning customers.
Hirsch’s is the biggest independently owned appliance and electronics outlet in South Africa, with 18 branches around the country. Brakpan is their eleventh store in Gauteng – they also have branches in Meadowdale, Boksburg (an outlet store), Centurion, Silverlakes, Fourways, Strubens Valley and Samsung concept stores in Clearwater and Rosebank; In KZN there are branches in Ballito, Umhlanga, Springfield Park and Hillcrest – with Samsung Concept Stores in Gateway and the Pavilion. Cape Town boasts two Hirsch stores – one in Milnerton and one in Somerset West.
