Jozi Padel, October 22nd, 2023 – Hamba Bamba Funda (HBF), a distinguished Section 18A non-profit organization dedicated to early childhood development from conception to 2 years, is thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of their Padel Charity Fun Day Event. The event, meticulously organized by ElevenTwentyTwo Events and held at Jozi Padel (33 Troupant Avenue, Magaliessig) on October 22nd, surpassed all expectations, leaving participants and organizers alike filled with gratitude and joy.
"I have no words, only tears of Joy! The event exceeded my expectations," said Monja Boonzaier, Founding Director of Hamba Bamba Funda.
The Charity Event aimed to raise funds for HBF's Mother and Baby initiative, providing crucial support to mothers and their babies (0-2 years) from underprivileged communities through weekly classes at their centre in Dobsonville, Soweto. HBF firmly believes in the pivotal importance of the first 1000 days of a child's life, fostering their potential through Movement, Touch, and Play.
Our generous sponsors Fireroom, Jozi Padel, Bootleggers, The Local Kitchen Co., The Golf Place, WhatTheFit4 Gym, NuBeginnings Studio, Floyd Lebatie Physio, Life Day Spa Fourways, Mythos Design Quarter, Orexi Greek Street Food – Fourways, Nikos Pineslopes, Old Ducky French Café, Piatto, KAT Hair & Beauty, Nicola Jane, Re-invent Health, CCM, NuWell Body & Beauty, MV Café, OBC Butchery, The Country Pie, Wash&Drive, Dermafix and Bling contributed incredible prizes for players and the welcome packs. The incredible support from Fireroom, African Continental Resources cc, Catrakilis & Associates, LIT Africa and CCIC, who generously sponsored the padel courts, underlines their commitment to this noble cause.
Special thanks to our incredible volunteers who helped to ensure the smooth running of the event and to Elsa Young, Russ Smith, Leigh Wood and Megan Robinson for spending time with us all and taking photographs and videos that captured the spirit of the day, we are so grateful.
Two raffles were held, featuring prizes such as meal vouchers, Life Day Spa vouchers, and hampers, added to the excitement of the day. HBF and ElevenTwentyTwo Events express their deepest gratitude to all sponsors. Without their unwavering support, this event would not have been possible. The organizations also express their gratitude and commend the enthusiastic players whose energy and sportsmanship made the event a memorable day dedicated to early childhood development.
