2014 marks the tenth year since the founding of The Cape Leopard Trust, which was launched in August 2004 as an active predator conservation working group in the Cape. It uses sound scientific research as a tool for conservation, finding solutions to human-wildlife conflict and inspiring interest in the greater biodiversity through an interactive and dynamic environmental education programme.
The fundraiser this year will be in the form of a relaxed luncheon hosted at the well-known Leopard‘s Leap Family Vineyards, located in the agrestic Franschoek Wine Valley. A selected list of guests will attend to enjoy the day, which will include an auction to raise substantial funds for the trust.

The luncheon will feature the culinary talents of Leopard‘s Leap resident chef Pieter de Jager joined by his peers Neil Jewell (Bread and Wine, Môreson)and Vanessa Marx (Dear Me) who will be adding their talents to the day. Celebrity guests Braam Malherbe, Liezel van der Westhuizen and one more surprise guest will join the chefs in the kitchen, enhancing the afternoon’s entertainment.
Elana Afrika-Bredenkamp and Ian Bredenkamp will lead through the event, which should prove to be a memorable and dynamic occasion.
