Street Smart Media launches state-of-the-art Commuter Shelters
Written by: Veruska D'Onofrio Save to InstapaperStreet Smart Media has recently launched state-of-the-art commuter shelters that are world-class in design and functionality. The new shelters are being installed at specific locations in the Greater Johannesburg area to better service commuters and at the same time advertisers.
Commuter Shelters are an integral component of the public transport network in South Africa and with the augmentation and expansion of the system, so too are shelters evolving.
“The new shelters are sleek, effective and also provide ideal advertising opportunities for brands wanting to target commuters as well as motorists and pedestrians in specific geographic areas,” says Candice Meyer – Street Smart Media.
In line with going green, a number of the new shelters have solar-powered lightboxes, a ground-breaking solution that enables them to stay off the grid and also communicate a brand message well after the sun has set.
There are three new shelter designs. The three-bay shelter is the largest and can accommodate disabled commuters. The other shelters are single-bay and two-bay shelters. On all designs, designated branding panels provide opportunities for advertisers to communicate with a widespread or a localised audience.
“The shelters are not only innovative, but offer brands excellent visibility, high frequency and significant return on investment,” says Meyer.
Commuter Shelters offer progressive solutions to branding needs. Creative can be adapted to really harness the potential of the shape, size and location of the shelters. Furthermore, the platform is effective for both directional marketing and widespread brand messaging.
