Sophos secure Wi-Fi solutions from Duxbury Networking

Submitted by: Howard Mellet

Duxbury Networking has released a range of secure Wi-Fi products from its principal Sophos, a UK-based leader in network and endpoint security.

Sophos offerings are targeted at organisations looking at new-generation Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) solutions to protect and secure a broad array of servers and clients including Windows, Mac, iOS and Android devices and integrate them into the network management console.

According to Andy Robb, chief technology officer at Duxbury Networking, there is an increase in the sophistication of malware: “Polymorphism is becoming the norm and previously unknown malware is on the rise. These threats can only be detected by integrated capabilities such as exploit prevention, behaviour analytics and pre-execution heuristics, all of which are built into Sophos offerings.”

He says the key features of Sophos products, which are designed to prevent, detect, remediate and investigate as one solution, include strong encryption, optimised performance, complete unified threat management (UTM) security, flexible deployment options and simplified management regimens.

Robb notes that while many enterprises are currently opting for a best-of-breed EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management) capability, there is the likelihood that the EPP market will subsume this function within the next two years.

In this light, he adds that Sophos is one of only a few companies worldwide with the breadth of solutions and the depth of expertise to truly advance the industry by protecting all platforms.

More than 100 million users in 150 countries currently rely on Sophos’ security solutions to protect their networks against complex threats and data loss. Sophos’ encryption, endpoint security, web, email, mobile and network security solutions are backed by SophosLabs - a global network of threat intelligence centres.
