Submitted by: CADEK Media

The annual TourismBiz Conference returns to the Cape Sun Hotel in Cape Town on the 2nd of August 2012. This year the conference will focus on key areas such as: current trends and strategies for growth in the tourism industry, customer relationship management, online customers and is introducing a special inbound buyer’s forum, discussing travellers’ current needs.

The tourism industry has experienced a turbulent couple of months. To ensure economic growth and sustainability, tourism businesses need to build successful partnerships within the industry to make packages more appealing to visitors. Special focus will be given to the local market and the available tools to capture this market.

Speakers include: Nombulelo Mkefa (Director: Tourism, City of Cape Town), Jonathan Jacobs (Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Olga Williams (O! Marketing), Jess Green (Ubuntu Deal), Inri McManus (River Song Guest House), Russell Rathbone (Raslamere), Louise de Waal (Uluntu Africa) and Jonathan Weltman from TSG Travel.

The conference will end with a networking and lunch time keynote address by the internationally renowned Dr Nikolaus Eberl, the author of “BrandOvation™: How Germany won the World Cup of Nation Branding”, and the sequel “The Hero’s Journey: Building a Nation of World Champions”. Dr Eberl will look at how integrated cultural tourism campaigns can convert virtual tourists to incoming arrivals.
