Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a SADC media awards workshop. The workshop will engage journalists on key requirements of the SADC Media Awards entries, provide feedback on the outcomes of the 2017 competition, highlight challenges and provide guidance to interested parties to the South African Chapter of the Awards.
The SADC Media Awards aim to recognize excellence in journalism in the areas of print, photojournalism, television and radio as well as to encourage media practitioners in member states to cover issues pertaining to the region for the promotion of regional integration and cooperation.
The SADC Media Awards workshop will be followed by a media networking session.
