Sports Partnership Summit slated for January 2022

The Sports Partnership Summit will convene key stakeholders from South Africa’s sports industry to debate the essential pillars required for sustainable partnership strategies and alliances to support its growth prospects, post a Covid-19 landscape.

The Summit will be attended by key decision-makers from the sports business industry at large, to initiate these much-needed, partnership conversations.

Delegates will represent a diverse profile of interest groups inclusive of government sports' departments, sports federations, professional franchises and clubs, universities, schools' sports bodies, municipalities, gyms and health clubs, social sports development agencies, event organisers, academies, sports schools and many other stakeholders, to engage each other on building effective partnership strategies to grow, sport across its widest spectrum possible.

It is hoped that the Summit as a whole, will give all stakeholders an opportunity to interact with their “partners” and find common ground to build a united vision for South Africa's sports industry in a win-win partnership.

The Summit is part of the Sports Business Week (SBW), which will take place from 24-28 January 2022, that also includes the FitActive, MassActive and Pro Sports Forums, respectively.

The Summit will also feature a World Sports Leadership Forum, hosting international sports administrators and executives, sharing their thought leadership on the future outlook for sport across the world.

The South African Sports Industry Alliance (SASIA), will also be launched at the Summit to serve as a voice for the sports business sector.

The Summit will culminate in the inaugural South African Sports Business Awards (SASBAs).
