The nightlights I am referring to have been described as “paper works of art” and are designed by Italian architect, Ramin Razani. Zzzoolights are gorgeous nightlights or lamps that are indeed functional. The lamps themselves are neutral in colour, so they will fit in with any colour scheme that the room is decorated in. The Smart Range goes one step further and changes colour, going through a spectrum of 7 beautiful hues. Simply change the colour of the lamp by clapping twice. Similarly the Smart lamp has a toggle switch which also has a soft ambient glow. This lamp is called the “smart” lamp for a reason as it is sound sensitive. When there is quiet in the room, the lamp will dim after 3 minutes. Upon hearing sound the lamp will activate again so that there is always light in your children's room. They never have to wake up afraid of the darkness. The Smart lamp also has a quirky little feature... when the lamp turns green it will imitate the sound of the animal - be it a cat that meows or a fish that makes a delightful fishy sound.

Zzzoolight offers a third option, the Mini range. These miniature versions of their bigger counterparts only have the colour nightlight that goes through the series of 7 colours when you clap. If you would like to select a specific colour, simply clap 3 times and the colour will stay fixed.

The Mini range is a small lamp that changes a series of 7 beautiful colours. The colours change when you clap twice. To select a favourite colour, clap three times and the lamp will stay on the selected hue.

The Bright light is only a white light but has a toggle button to select either a reading light or full light or alternately a more subdued light or night light. The Bright collection is the full size lamp that is available.

The Smart light is the other offering by Officina Crea - the company responsible for the manufacture of the lamps. The Smart night light is not only beautiful but has a few functions. The lamp changes 7 different colours when you clap twice. Clap 3 times to stay on a selected colour. When the lamp turns green the lamp will make a sweet animal sound. The light also has a wonderful night light setting which has a beautiful glow. If there is noise in the room the lamp will stay on. However after 3 minutes of quiet the lamp will dim. Make noise again and the lamp will turn on to the soft night light. This feature is fantastic for children that wake up frequently during the night.

Zzzoolights are trending at the moment but at least this is a product that will last years.
