Inaugural book fair launched with esteemed authors

Submitted by: Sarann Buckby

Bookdealers in association with Brightwater Commons is launching a book fair on Friday the 28th September.  The inaugural event has been named the Big Big Brightwater Commons Book Fair (BBBCBF).  And, with big, big names in the literary world making appearances and giving of their time to address the audience, this peculiar name is fitting indeed.

While the Promotions Court at the Brightwater Commons will be stocked with books and decked-out with comfy sofas, the highlight of the fair will undoubtedly be the periodic talks by some of South Africa's foremost authors.

Kevin Bloom and Rian Malan have prepared a talk under the title 'No country for silly novelists'.  Both highly respected and prolific authors, their talk at 13:00 on Saturday the 29th is expected to spark some interesting exchange with the audience.

The intimate setting of the BBBCBF will provide enthusiasts with a rare opportunity and all are invited to take advantage thereof and be a part of this launch.
