Wholeheartedly, is a bold encounter of a rollercoaster journey of love and reality, as the author paints a bare yet compassionate picture of her experience as a mother of an addict – extending to her unique lessons from working with over 200 case studies, alongside communities in Soweto and Eldorado Park, over the past ten years.
The narrative is a significant landmark in modern-Africa’s literary landscape, and a critical reminder of South Africa’s frail socio-economic ills - with addiction on a constant high. The book offers strategies for systematic changes as well as healing, including mechanisms not only for the addict, but for those living with, and loving the addict. A sheer eye-opener and invitation to living Wholeheartedly.
